How to Join as a New Member
(Brand new individuals or families to SLSLE)
STEP 1 – Obtain Your Working with Children Check (WWCC) /VIT information
ALL members aged 18 years and older must hold a WWCC.
If you have an existing WWCC, you must update your card by adding the following to organisations as volunteer organisations.

Please use the following codes in the Volunteer organisation area:
Code 42 (Clubs and Associations) to be used on ALL Applications
Code 28 (Coaching and Tuition) If applicable – Depending on your role within the Club
Code 10 (Overnight Camps) If applicable – Depending on your role within the Club
Code 52 (Educational institution other institutions providing children’s study or training programs) If applicable - Depending on your role within the Club

NB: Please take a screen shot of your Card Application Number and the two listed organisations on completion of your application/updating of WWCC and forward to registrar@lakesentrancesurflifesaving.org.au (to ensure application processing can still proceed.
Membership cannot be processed without a WWCC. If you are joining for the Nipper Program we urge you not to leave it until you are ready to register for the Nipper Program to organise you WWCC.

STEP 2 – Read the Join Surf Life Saving Victoria Guidelines - CLICK HERE
STEP 3 – Click Here to “JOIN” and follow the steps for completing your membership application.
NB: A membership application needs to be completed for EACH member of the family (including parents/guardians of Nippers)
STEP 4 – Ensure you have created a member area account for each membership application as per the Join Surf Life Saving Victoria Guidelines - CLICK HERE
STEP 5 – Ensure you have created a Family Group - CLICK HERE (on Family Membership applications) as per Join Surf Life Saving Victoria Guidelines
STEP 6 – Pay for Membership. You will be prompted to pay for payment at the completion of the application process. Membership WILL NOT proceed unless all requirements have been met.
NB: Please discuss other payment options with the Registrar if you are unable to pay membership fees via the portal.
NB: When paying for Family Membership, select one primary member for Family membership fees (i.e. $250 John Black and select $0 for all other family members)
STEP 7 – You will receive an email confirmation of your payment receipt.
