“For the first time in history ANZAC Day will coincide with the Australian Championships, and we have prepared the event timetable accordingly. “

“Competition on Saturday April 25 will not begin until 1.30pm with a special ANZAC ceremony planned to take place on the beach prior to competition commencing.”

The week-long festival of surf sports will commence with the Youth competition on Saturday 18 – Sunday 19 April, followed by Masters on Monday 20 – Tuesday 21 April.

Opens events will run from Wednesday to Sunday (April 22-26) with Board Riding, Surf Boats and Lifesaving disciplines to be held over the duration of the competition.
