the Australian, and QLD State Life Saving teams managed to take out the 100m Rescue Medley in 1:12.14 taking record title away from Serena Nigrets of Italy who registered 1:12.48 in 2017.

The school student from Maroochydore State High School has this year claimed 12 Surf Life Saving State Titles.

Talking about her world record achievement today Lani said she was ecstatic.

“I came into the race with a record on my radar and just prayed everything would work out well.”

“I am super proud of my club and my state team for everything we have managed to achieve here at the Australian Pool Rescue Championships”

The next focus for Lani is the Junior Pan Pacs in Fiji in twelve day’s time, and working towards to World Life Saving Championships to be hosted in Adelaide in November.
