Sunday alone, with 10 of those records broken by the Vikings.

Both 21-year-old Prue Davies and 14-year-old Lily Nicholson from Currumbin won seven gold medals across the weekend with Nicholson breaking three Australian lifesaving records just on Sunday.

Meanwhile Currumbin teammate Matt Davis won six gold medals across the championships and broke two Australian records on Sunday.

The Vikings impressed all weekend and accumulated 485 points, nearly 100 points ahead of BMD Northcliffe who came in second at 387 points.

Maroochydore were a close third with 340 points under their belt.

In the Masters Championships, Tweed Heads & Coolangatta took out the top spot after a stellar weekend of racing taking home multiple gold medals and breaking several Australian records, with a total of 245 points.

Tweed Heads & Coolangatta SLSC’s Lisa Ferguson set the only World lifesaving record of the day in the Women’s 35-39 year-old 100 Metre Manikin Carry with Fins in 59.84 seconds.

Terrigal came in second with 181 points, while Kurrawa finished the weekend in third with 135 points.

Across the Championships selected individuals represented their states and accumulated points for their performance to go towards the Interstates Championships pointscore.

After sharing the top spot in 2018, Queensland snuck ahead of New South Wales to take out the 2019 Interstates Pool Rescue Championship with a total of 536 points.

New South Wales came in second with 489 points and Western Australia finished a close third on 462 points.

Across the weekend nearly 60 Australian Lifesaving records were broken as well as four World lifesaving records.

The 2019 Pool Rescue Championships has been a record year for the surf lifesaving event with over 600 competitors competing in 234 events across Masters and Opens Championships.
